What is it with men and their power tools anyway???
Last year it was a chainsaw, so he spent all of June and July cutting up logs for firewood. Did I mention it was June? Did I also mention that he's an electrician and I can hardly see in this house due to lack of sufficient lighting? Did I mention that it was 100 degrees out? Well, yes it's true and not to mention that part of our fence had fallen down and a family of 5 was all using one bathroom when we have 2 because one bathtub needed to be replaced so he decided he had to be the one to do it. He proceeded to knock out the wall and remove the bathtub. That was two yrs. ago....needless to say, there hasn't been much progress since.....but we won't lack for firewood.
That takes us to this yr. at fathers day. He wanted a table saw. I think no way too expensive and I got flowers, what gives (and the flowers were from the grocery store at 10 at night after a day of giving him grief that it doesn't matter that I'm not his mother I gave birth to two of his children and care for 3 of them, two of which are too young to recognize mothers day and 1 who happens to spend this day of his very few days with his mother) Then I saw what I thought was a table saw at Costco for relatively inexpensive so I got it. Turns out it was a circular saw and he already has one of those. He then proceeded to take all three kids to starbucks, which was very suspicious on fathers day. He came back 2 hours later with a $450 table saw and I went through the roof. Not only cant we afford it, now all I hear when he's home is this loud annoying table-sawing sound emmenating throughout the house from the garage, which is full of saw dust, by the way.
It could be worse, I tried to think positive and thought to myself, maybe he'll make some shelves that we really need but...he's making bee hives.
